Escondido Union School District Finds New Ways to Save After Renewal
In 2014, Escondido Union School District (EUSD) began an energy conservation partnership with Cenergistic. In four years, the district saved $4.4 million and cut total energy use 26 percent.
After benefitting from significant savings and efficient
operations, EUSD decided to extend the partnership.
In the two years since that renewal, the program has met increasingly ambitious savings goals and driven a culture of sustainability across EUSD. As a liaison between the energy program and the district, the Energy Specialist plays a key role in delivering classroom comfort and healthy buildings.
