Cenergistic, a leading energy conservation company, announced today the appointment of Gary Niederpruem to the position of Chief Business Officer. In this role, Mr Niederpruem will be responsible for helping the company grow and scale by focusing on both increasing revenue and overall profitability.
“In our 36 years leading the energy conservation sector, we’ve helped our clients save more than $6.4 billion and earn more than 13,000 ENERGY STAR recognitions. With his experience in product, software and service businesses, Gary is the best-in-class leader to take us to the next level by expanding our suite of offerings to new customers and new markets,” said Dr. William S. Spears, Cenergistic’s Chairman and Founder.

Most recently he was Chief Marketing, Strategy and Corporate Development Officer of Vertiv, a $6 billion company focused on power, cooling and IT infrastructure for data center, telecom and commercial and industrial sectors. There he led the enterprise-wide strategy and deployment activities, external and internal marketing, M&A activities and the subsequent integration of those activities.
Prior to Vertiv, Mr. Niederpruem worked for Emerson and Danaher and held a variety of roles of increasing magnitude primarily in various P&L management assignments. Mr. Niederpruem earned his MBA from the University of Notre Dame and earned his undergraduate degree from John Carroll University.
“While Cenergistic allows clients to lower their energy usage and energy costs, the real underlying value in our business model is enabling the client to re-direct those savings to places where it can best make an impact. In the example of any school district or higher education organization, this allows the staff to fund those critical elements that directly impact the students, thus providing better outcomes for all. Working with our team and our clients to scale this opportunity truly creates an opportunity where all constituents can, and will, win,” said Mr. Niederpruem.
