LARGO, Fla. — Pinellas County Schools (PCS) was named a Florida ENERGY STAR® Partner of the Year by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the U.S. Department of Energy. The recognition is for earning ENERGY STAR certification for 92 schools and avoiding $7 million in energy costs in 2019. Pinellas County Schools is one of four Energy Star partners honored for outstanding contributions to public health and the environment. PCS is among the 191 ENERGY STAR award winners nationwide honored this year as ENERGY STAR Award Winners.
