Justin Burns serves as Chief Operating Officer and oversees all core operational areas, including client program implementation, energy specialist/field operations, data analytics and software platform performance, project management, quality assurance, and resource allocation across 1,500+ client sites nationwide.
 
With over 26 years of experience leading teams in the military and big-box retail, Justin has built a reputation for delivering strong execution through strategy and technology development, team training and development, and the use of data and systems to drive execution and efficiencies at scale. Prior to Cenergistic, Justin served as SVP of Stores, Store Operations, and Assets Protection at Target, where he led headquarters and operations teams across the country. During his tenure as SVP, he developed strategies and led large-scale teams to deliver best-in-class operations, experience, and profit outcomes across Stores and the Global Supply Chain.
 
Justin is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree with a pre-law field of study and a minor in systems engineering. He is a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom, where he served multiple tours and was awarded a Bronze Star for his actions. He recently served on the Dallas Chamber Board of Directors for over six years.
