Jacob Mahaffey
Over the past 13 years, Jacob Mahaffey has supported healthcare innovation with three health systems. He specializes in improving operational excellence and identifying innovation for health systems to improve patient outcomes and enhance health system profitability. In his last 12 months at Saint Francis health system, Jacob generated $17M through innovation. One of the largest projects was evaluation of an energy savings program which fueled Jacob’s passion to join Cenergistic. Prior to that, Jacob was the Assistant Director of Cowboy Technologies owned by the Oklahoma State University (OSU) Research Foundation, where he supported strategy activities related to commercializing technology and including seed capital investment funding in operational startups, non-dilutive state and federal funding assistance. Before that, Jacob worked for the Intellectual Property (IP) division of Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA). Jacob obtained a Doctoral degree in Forensic Science from Oklahoma State University-Center for Health Sciences. Jacob received his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Arkansas; a Master’s degree in Operations Management from the University of Arkansas, and a Negotiation and Influence certificate from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Jacob has also completed World Intellectual Property Organization education. In spare time Jacob enjoys ideating patentable ideas and supporting medical technology startup companies including those where he is an inventor on several patents. Jacob also enjoys traveling with his wife and daughter and cheering his daughter on at practice.
