Matt serves as Chief Technology Officer at Cenergistic, where he leads the company’s technology, product, and data strategy. He oversees software engineering, data services, and measurement & verification (M&V), ensuring the company’s AI-powered platforms deliver scalable energy optimization across thousands of buildings nationwide.

Matt brings a unique blend of business acumen, technical expertise, and disciplined leadership to his role. An Army Veteran who served as a Photojournalist (46Q), he later earned a bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems from DeVry University and an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin’s McCombs School of Business. This diverse background equips him to drive innovation while aligning product development with the needs of Cenergistic’s clients in K-12, higher education, healthcare, and municipal sectors.

Under his leadership, Cenergistic has expanded the capabilities of its Optimize platform—introducing advanced tools like GreenX®, Executive®, Simulate®, Measure®, and Monitor™ to deliver intelligent alerting, interval data analysis, and automated M&V workflows. Matt’s strategic focus on scalable cloud architecture, data integrity, and AI integration positions the company to deliver measurable, sustainable results in energy conservation.
