El Dorado Union High School District Partners with Cenergistic, Will Implement Sustainability Program to Find Energy and Cost Savings

EL DORADO, CA, February 19, 2019 - El Dorado Union High School District (EDUHSD), located 50 miles east of Sacramento, California, is partnering with Cenergistic to implement their Sustainability Solutions. EDUHSD is a top-rated public 9-12th grade school district with an enrollment of 6,740 students across six campuses which total over 700,000 square feet. Cenergistic expects EDUHSD to reclaim $2M dollars over the next five years.
Prior to Cenergistic, EDUHSD implemented Prop-39 energy and utility equipment upgrades and installed solar panels throughout district buildings, yet found additional funding was required to support the budget in preparation for rate increases from PG&E. The dollars saved with Cenergistic’s program will allow the district to mitigate higher utility rates and the expiration of Prop-39 funding.

Cenergistic will also help EDUHSD qualify its buildings for ENERGY STAR® certifications and awards with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Additionally, leadership and administration are enthusiastic about the mindset of conservation and culture of sustainability among staff and students that the partnership with Cenergistic will bring.
