Scott serves as Chief Executive Officer at Cenergistic and is responsible for the company’s strategic vision, expansion and leadership initiatives. He has decades of experience in growing and leading successful global software and Internet of Things (IoT) solutions companies.
He most recently served as CEO and Executive Chairman of Silver Spring Networks, Inc., the leading provider of solutions for creating “smart cities” and helping utilities better manage their networks. Scott founded Silver Spring Networks – acquired by Itron in 2004 – and served in various roles including President, Chief Executive Officer, Chairman and Executive Chairman. He began his career with EDS as Systems Engineer in 1985, followed by serving as Vice President at Perot Systems Corporation for 16 years.
Scott was named Ernst & Young’s 2009 Entrepreneur of the Year in Northern California, and Responsible CEO of the Year in the Private Company category by the editors of CRO Magazine. He was also named the Most Admired CEO in Sustainability by the San Francisco Business Times in 2011. Silver Spring Networks was named a 2008 World Economic Forum Technology Pioneer.
Scott holds an Executive MBA from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a Bachelor’s in Business Administration & Management from University of Mississippi.
